DIVERSITY & INCLUSION ADVISOR – CULTURE & CAPABILITY

As our Diversity and Inclusion Advisor, reporting to the Diversity and Inclusion Manager, you will support the of The Star’s Employee Network Groups in the delivery of our D&I strategies, monitor and track the progress of diversity and inclusion initiatives, assist with compliance- related requirements and stay informed about relevant laws and regulations related to diversity and inclusion, ensuring that the organisation is compliant with legal requirements.

A few of your responsibilities

  • Guide and support the Diversity & Inclusion team and Employee Network Groups to achieve the organisation’s D&I deliverables.
  • Provide efficient administration and advisory support to all Network Groups and sub-groups including D&I days of significance activations.
  • Assist the D&I Manager with the preparation of presentation materials, submission papers, policy updates and other related content.
  • Collaborate with the Culture and Capability team to identify areas where diversity and inclusion can be improved and develop a plan to address those areas.
  • Provide administrative and logistical support for compiling submissions involving AWEI, WGEA and EOC Citation.

 

What we are looking for

  • Solid administration skills in basic Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, Teams) and managing the D&I inboxes.
  • Ability to work with multiple small working groups across the business and managing various priorities.
  • Solid analytical skills to organise data and create reports.
  • Empathetic communication and interpersonal skills to influence stakeholders.

 

You are a passionate about driving positive change into the workplace culture and building an inclusive environment that respects the various backgrounds and identities of fellow team members. With effective influencing skills on stakeholders, you will prompt buy-in for event and policy activation.
