About the Role 
Join our Integration Development team in the Information Technology department at Swinburne University! Were seeking a talented individual to contribute to our Digital Technology Delivery (DTD) area. As part of this team, youll focus on building and supporting services that streamline business processes and integrate various applications used by the University.

Your role will involve establishing strong partnerships with stakeholders and colleagues to drive significant improvements across Student Administration, Digital Marketing, Learning, Teaching, Research, and Corporate functions. Youll be responsible for developing and maintaining Swinburnes Service Oriented Architecture, ensuring seamless data transfer and system integration. Additionally, youll design and implement standardized, reusable services and integration processes.

As a senior member of the team, youll have the opportunity to guide and mentor less experienced developers, provide technical consultation to Architects and Solution Designers, and contribute to maintaining and enhancing custom in-house applications. Your expertise will also be valuable in analyzing complex system issues and implementing effective solutions, including vendor liaison and programming.

About You  
To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities: 

  • Relevant experience working on complex projects building Java based apps (including Spring, Hibernate) software solutions and technical integration solutions (ideally using MuleSoft) working from requirements, solution architecture, third party and internal API documentation through the entire SDLC.
  • A sound knowledge of relational databases and SQL.
  • Demonstrable ability to effectively and coherently communicate and establish strong working relationships with key stakeholders and staff at all levels.
  • Extensive technical experience in solution design, development and testing for new applications and/or feature sets and/or integrations/API’s etc.
  • Solid experience with analysis and design of existing applications and integrations with both packaged and in-house developed software.

  • A relevant degree or qualification.
