Senior Manager Regulatory Affairs (Remediation Project)

The Star is growing as part of our renewal and transformation strategy! We have a position available which will support our Group Risk and Assurance Leadership team working on our Remediation Project for period of 12 months.  As Senior Manager for Regulatory Affairs your key objectives will be to lead and support on transformation of The Regulatory Engagement program in connection with the Group’s multi-year remediation program. This role will also be responsible for maintaining professional working relationships with all relevant regulatory agencies.


A few of your responsibilities

  • Implement identified opportunities to increase efficiencies and performance improvements to ensure regulatory compliance requirements are met while supporting and strengthening regulatory relationships"
  • Implement the strategic uplift of SEG’s internal BAU regulatory management, including Notice responses & commitments, document control processes and record management.
  • Deliver professional briefings to relevant regulators on regulatory BAU/remediation plan activities ensing SEG’s regulatory activities meet statutory requirements.
  • Work closely with Transformation Office and program & change leads to deliver on remediation program initiatives as well as working with SEG management and business areas to identify and prioritise regulatory engagement requirements.
  • Design & deliver an effective communication, awareness and training program to support the Regulatory Engagement program uplift.
  • Effectively co-ordinate the implementation of directions, notices and inquiries from regulators across SEG business areas, and support end to end process uplift.


What we are looking for

  • Extensive experience in legal, regulatory compliance or enforcement roles within a comparable, highly regulated industry.
  • Demonstrated experience working with regulatory authorities.
  • A tertiary qualification in Law, Business, Governance, Economics and/or Communication is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of relevant statutory compliance and reporting requirements.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement for relationship management.

You are a seasoned regulatory expert with in-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements and working with government authorities. You have a proven track record in communicating and implementing statutory processes effectively.
