Join our team as the Assistant Front Office Manager at The Star Brisbane. 

Our breathtaking resort, positioned at the heart of the new Queen’s Wharf Brisbane precinct, will commence a staged opening in 2024, bringing a range of unique entertainment options, world class hotels, dining, bars, luxury retail, gaming and a state-of-the-art Event Centre to the river city. 

The Assistant Front Office Manager, reporting to the Front Office Manager, provides the chance to inspire your team to surpass guest expectations by delivering excellent service. Your focus is on improving customer service and supporting the Front Office Manager in achieving success while nurturing the team and their growth.

A few of your responsibilities 

  • Lead the Front Office team with professionalism ensuring efficiencies 

  • Manage guest inquiries and concerns diplomatically and empathetically 

  • Demonstrate our commitment to service excellence through the delivery of The Star values 

  • Foster and showcase a positive collaborative relationship across all departments 

  • Ensure guest and financial records are accurately maintained 

  • Cultivate a positive and exciting environment where flawless delivery of product excellence and service are paramount 

What we will be looking for 

  • Previous experience in hotel management 

  • Experience in Opera PMS will be advantageous 

  • Diploma or degree in hospitality management 

  • Strong organisation and time management skills 

About you 

You will be an experienced hotel professional, with previous leadership experience, and have familiarity utilising Opera PMS. In addition, you will be highly passionate in delivering guest excellence and have demonstrated experience leading and developing teams to success. You will bring a collaborative and welcoming mindset and understand the importance of embedding this culture within your team. 

As we move to The Star Brisbane, you will be critical in leading the team through change. You will have a demonstrated understanding of relevant industry regulatory requirements with experience embedding these requirements as part of your ways of working.
