The Star Sydney is currently accepting applications for Venue Manager Cucina Porto.

We are looking for a guest focused Venue Manager to join this incredible team! As a leader you will be working closely with the F&B Operations Manager and all team members to deliver the daily operations of Cucina Porto.

Cucina Porto has been voted the best Italian restaurant in Sydney (Trip Advisor, Jan 2024), and our Restaurant Executive Chef, Martino Pulito awarded "Chef of the Year" at the 2023 NSW Accommodation awards for Excellence. A few of your responsibilities

  • Managing day-to-day operations of a unique venue offering including coaching and development of all team members
  • Planning and executing bespoke events in line with guest experience strategy leveraging supplier partnerships
  • Reviewing and analysing the daily operational needs; maintaining food and beverage, labour, product, and expenses on budget
  • Leading and motivating the team to continuously deliver guest experience in line with our service culture

What are we looking for?

  • Extensive management experience in high-end restaurants, executive lounges, or bars
  • A passion for the hospitality industry
  • Thorough knowledge of food and beverages
  • Proactive and well-rounded leader who can empower and encourage the team to deliver a personalised and professional service to all guests. 
  • Confidence to lead a large and diverse team across a 24/7 roster
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and attention to detail
  • Hands-on operational approach with passion for developing your career
