About the Organisation

Every day, Life Without Barriers provides support and care to children and young people, as we work collaboratively with families, carers, and communities, to ensure they have the environment they deserve to grow. With a focus on ensuring safety and respect, this is an opportunity to make a positive and meaningful difference in these young lives and help pave a brighter future.

Life Without Barriers is a leading social purpose organisation of 8,000 employees working in more than 500 communities across Australia. We support children, young people and families, people with disability, older people and people with mental illness. We work with people who are homeless and refugees and asylum seekers. Join a community of people dedicated to breaking down barriers.

We want to employ people who reflect the diversity of our clients to ensure we can support each client's individual needs and wants. We encourage people of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander background and people with disability to apply.

About the Role

We are excited to launch the next recruitment round for our National After-Hours Service for our Child, Youth and Family Services.  The service was created to provide on-call support to our staff and carers who support young people and children in our Out of Home Care Services nationally. As part of this support, we will also provide an after-hours rostering team who will manage any shift changes between the hours of 5pm and 9am weekdays and complete cover over the weekends.

Flexibility is key, as you'll be required to work weekends, public holidays, and attend yearly mandatory training sessions in Sydney. However, in return, you'll have the opportunity to work remotely from home on a rotating roster basis, offering a desirable work-life balance. Additionally, real opportunities for career progression await, with advancements to Senior positions (SCHADS level 4) available every six months.

Shift times will be either 6:00am – 3:00pm and/or 2:30pm until 11:00pm or midnight.  Shift pattern is set and will require successful candidates to work a mix of weekdays and weekends. If you cannot commit to the above, please apply for any future vacancies. Please note: We cannot accept requests for any variations to shift times.
