About the Role

As a Disability Support Worker you will be dedicated to making a positive impact in the lives of individuals. We have a casual opportunity available where you will provide active, person centred support to people with disabilities.

Successful candidates will have the availability to work a range of shifts in Supported Independent Living (SIL), supporting people with disability in shared housing or in their own home, providing various supports including personal care and daily living assistance. You can expect to work across a 24/7 roster. 



Key Responsibilities

  • Day to day care (including personal care) and supervision
  • Community Access & Transport
  • Maintain & Monitor Person Centred Plans
  • Documenting & Progress Note keeping
  • Build positive relationships with the people we support and their families

Skills & Experience

  • Prior experience in the industry supporting clients with disability and/or relevant qualifications
  • An Australian DriverÂ’s Licence
  • A current First Aid and CPR Certificate (must be obtained prior to employment)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills

To be considered for and appointed to a position at Life Without Barriers, you must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 with a minimum of two (2) doses or hold a valid medical exemption certificate, in accordance with Life Without Barriers Employee COVID-19 Vaccination Policy. You will be required to provide evidence of your vaccination status during the recruitment process.

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and a NDIS Worker Screening Check.
