About the Role 
The Manager Health & Wellbeing plays a pivotal leadership role within the Health Safety & Wellbeing team, part of the People & Culture department. You will be responsible for developing and implementing our Health and Wellbeing framework and strategies to foster a healthy and thriving workplace.

Your role will also include identifying and evaluating psychosocial hazards and developing university-wide programs to manage associated risks to prevent injury and illness.

This is an exciting opportunity to impact Swinburne’s community positively and enhance the employee and student experience by developing health and wellbeing systems, programs, and resources.

About You  
To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities: 

•    Develop, review, and manage a comprehensive health and wellbeing framework aligned with university strategies.
•    Lead the development and delivery of evidence-based health and wellbeing initiatives and resources 
•    Organize and oversee an annual calendar of wellbeing events, development of wellbeing resources, communication channels, and manage budget effectively.
•    Design and deliver systematic approaches to manage psychosocial hazards university-wide effectively.
•    Identify, assess, and mitigate psychosocial hazards affecting university staff.
•    Work with the Director HS&W to ensure that the priorities are aligned to the broader People & Culture strategy and road map and set and monitor the objectives.

Qualifications
•    A postgraduate qualification in fields such as (Psychology, Health Promotion, Occupational Health & Safety, Public Health, Mental Health, Counseling or related disciplines) and extensive experience, or an equivalent combination of both.
•    Extensive experience in managing psychological health and safety, ideally within a university or comparable setting.
