About the RoleÂ
Swinburne is seeking dynamic and experienced Senior Managers to join our Schools. This is a pivotal leadership role, responsible for the management and governance of the SchoolÂ’s day to day operations, and a key member of the School executive.Â
YouÂ’ll play a crucial role in fostering a culture of service excellence that enhances the quality of teaching and research outcomes. Â As the key liaison between the Schools and University service areas, you will advise on the impact of policies and procedures while providing strategic guidance to the Executive Dean. Â You'll lead a dedicated team of professional staff, ensuring the highest standards of administrative, research, and technical support for both academic staff and students.Â

To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:Â
·    Demonstrated experience in managing and leading professional support teams across a diverse portfolio of disciplines.
·    Demonstrated ability to build and maintain a strong culture of service excellence among professional support staff.
·    Demonstrated decision-making capacity and ability to problem solve in a complex environment working with multiple stakeholders.
·    Demonstrated understanding of academic workload models and of enterprise agreements and their implications on workforce planning.Â
·    An understanding of the tertiary education sector in Australia, including international activities and trends, in a rapidly changing and competitive environment.

Qualifications
Postgraduate qualification and extensive relevant experience; or extensive management expertise and proven management experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
