About the role
As a House Manager, you will work in partnership with a Therapeutic Specialist and Case Manager to lead the implementation of the CARE model and ensure a safe, homelike environment that supports Children & Young People in our care to thrive.Â
You will lead, motivate and mentor a team of dedicated youth support workers within a therapeutic residential setting, whilst also supporting Young People to develop independent living skills, engage in education and remain positively connected to their team of Care Workers, Families, and broader community connections.Â

Our Young Person lives with an intellectual disability and also displays challenging behaviours. Therefore, our ideal candidate will need to demonstrate experience supporting Young People who live with intellectual disabilities, be comfortable assisting with personal care and have knowledge of trauma and pain-based behaviours.Â
We have one Maximum Term 6-month position available.

Skills & Experience
To be considered for and appointed to a position at Life Without Barriers, you must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 with a minimum of two (2) doses or hold a valid medical exemption certificate, in accordance with Life Without Barriers Employee COVID-19 Vaccination Policy. You will be required to provide evidence of your vaccination status during the recruitment process.
Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check, NSW Working with Children Check and NSW Residential Care Workers Register check.
