About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Business Analyst within the Enterprise Project Management Office (ePMO).
The Senior Business Analyst at Swinburne's ePMO plays a pivotal role in driving change and enhancing business outcomes through innovative business analysis services. This position requires deep expertise in business analysis, process improvement, and information technology to ensure alignment between business objectives and technology solutions.
The analyst is responsible for planning, managing, and defining requirements for large-scale, complex projects, from inception to implementation. This includes establishing the business analysis approach, eliciting and documenting requirements, managing solution scope, maintaining requirements for re-use, and identifying and mitigating risks. Collaboration with project teams, IT, business units, and external vendors is essential for supporting business case development, procurement, testing, operational readiness, change management, and post-implementation support.
Additionally, the Senior Business Analyst leads process improvement initiatives to optimise business operations by analysing current processes and designing innovative future state processes.
About You
To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:
Lead of large-scale strategies to improve efficiency
Leading large scale and complex projects
Development (or contribution to) and ongoing management of the Business Analysis plan and approach for all allocated work.
Understanding and analysis of business problems and the development and effective articulation of business solutions
Elicitation, definition and management of end-to-end requirements across the chosen project delivery lifecycle.
Leading the development of fit for project BA standards, templates and procedures for business analysis in line with relevant BA industry standards
Contribute to the establishment of processes and procedures to ensure quality and consistency in business process designs and documents
Contribute to the documentation of business procedures, and assist in advancing the BA processes and procedures
Mentoring junior and mid-level business analysts at Swinburne;

Qualifications
A postgraduate level qualification in a relevant discipline and extensive relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
