About the role
This position is identified for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders to join our Conduct and Professional Standards Team. You will conduct high quality, timely and fair investigations into serious misconduct matters related to employees and contractors. You will undertake investigations into reportable allegations of abuse and neglect of children, young people and people with disabilities by LWB staff, contractors and foster carers. As a valued member of the in-house Employment Relations team with strong connections to the National Safeguarding Unit (NSU), your insights will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and practice improvements within a values based and agile organisation.
This role blends office and remote work, requiring you to be based at our Box Hill office with the flexibility to work remotely from home. This is a permanent full time position, with travel expected across Victoria and occasional to Tasmania as required.

The successful applicant will be required to provide contact details for a cultural referee who can comment on your knowledge of issues impacting on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and communities in contemporary society and your ability to communicate effectively and sensitively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. The cultural referee must identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person.
Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including but not limited to National Criminal History Record Check and Working With Children Check.
