About the Role 
Are you a passionate and innovative leader in the field of Dietetics? Swinburne University is seeking an exceptional Associate Professor to join our School of Health Sciences, specifically within the Department of Allied Health. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of dietetics education and research at a leading institution.

As an Associate Professor in Dietetics, you will play a pivotal role in advancing our research and teaching excellence. You will lead and develop research portfolios, supervise postgraduate students, and contribute to the administration and delivery of our Masters of Dietetics course. Your expertise will help build professional and research partnerships both in Australia and internationally, enhancing the Dietetics profile of Swinburne.

 
About You  
To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities: 
·       A strong demonstrated national and international track record of publications and grants in nutrition and dietetics and a capacity to communicate research outcomes, and a demonstrated commitment to ongoing research activities within the field, commensurate with the expectations of an Associate Professor
·       Demonstrated capacity to plan and conduct research within a broader overall team environment, to identify complementary expertise and initiate appropriate collaborations
·       Demonstrated capacity to supervise postgraduate research students to completion
·       Demonstrated ability to positively engage and communicate with industry partners and foster partnerships that build professional placement capacity

 
Qualifications
•          Recognised degree in dietetics (from an accredited Australian program or qualifications recognised by Dietitians Australia if overseas educated), and eligibility for credentialing via the Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) program. The successful candidate will be required to be a full APD with the DA for the duration of their appointment
•          A research qualification: Doctorate (PhD) degree in dietetics, nutrition, or a related field
•          Tertiary teaching qualification or equivalent (preferable)
•          Advanced APD or Fellow of DA credentials (preferable)
•          Fellowship of Advance HE (UK), HERDSA, ANZAHPE or equivalent recognition of teaching and leadership excellence in higher education (preferable)
