About the role
The House Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of our Residential services in Toowoomba. You will mentor a team of youth workers in providing purposeful support to young people in residential care, with high and complex needs.
This role works with other key Care Team members to lead the implementation of the CARE model and ensure the home provides a therapeutic environment which actively engages children and young people in activities and routines to support them to learn life skills including emotional regulation, problem solving and social competencies.
You will strive to enhance the lives of young people in the residential setting, incorporating a therapeutic, trauma informed approach within the daily structure and purposeful programming.
There is a strong emphasis on leading your team to provide a secure base for our young people within the home, liaising with culturally appropriate services, and providing opportunities for the young people to connect with the culture in which they identify within. There will be a requirement to cover shifts due to annual or personal leave.
This position is being offered as a permanent, full-time position.
