About the Scholarship
Higher Degree by Research (HDR) project “Electromagnetically driven flows in electrolyte layers with free interfaces”. Funded by the Australian Research Council (ARC), this theoretical/computational project aims to understand the properties of electromagnetically driven flows in thin deformable electrically conducting liquid films and layers by means of their nonlinear stability analysis and numerical simulation.  It expects to develop an analytical description of electrolyte flows required in various microfluidic applications such as magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) micro-stirring and micro-pumping.
