About the Role     
Are you a passionate educator ready to make a real impact? Swinburne’s Centre for Foundation Studies is looking for a dynamic and proactive VET Casual Teacher to join our team at the Croydon and/or Wantirna campuses.

As an Apprentice LNSUPPORT Teacher, you will play a vital role in empowering students, using innovative teaching methods and cutting-edge technology to create engaging and meaningful learning experiences. You’ll have the opportunity to inspire, mentor, and support future-ready learners, helping them stay on track and succeed in their apprenticeships.

What You’ll Do:
  • Engage and motivate students through contemporary teaching practices
  • Enhance student retention and completion rates by customising LNSUPPORT strategies
  • Collaborate with a team of dedicated educators to develop high-quality, applied learning programs
  • Champion best practices in teaching to meet the needs of diverse learners

About You  
To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities: 
  • Implementation of high-quality innovative teaching and learning programs in a variety of learning modes which respond to a diverse range of student and client needs.  
  • Fostering and promote an inclusive, customised and safe learning environment and provide support and advice to a diverse range of students and clients.  
  • Participation in continuous improvement, audit processes and the maintenance of high-quality training and assessment materials. 
  • Demonstrated ability to participate in continuous improvement, audit processes and the maintenance of high-quality training and assessment materials. 
  • Awareness and understanding of Vocational Education and Training policies and frameworks.  


Qualifications
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) 
OR  
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40110) including the following units: 
    • TAELLN411 Address adult language, literacy and numeracy skills or its successor OR 
    • TAELLN401A Address adult language, literacy and numeracy skills 
AND  
    • TAEASS502 Design and develop assessment tools or its successor OR 
    • TAEASS502A Design and develop assessment tools OR 
    • TAEASS502B Design and develop assessment tools  
  • Diploma or higher-level qualification in adult education
AND
  • TAESS00009 Address Foundation Skills in Vocational Practice Skill Set (or its successor TAESS00026 Foundation Skills Integration Skill Set)
OR
  • Higher level education qualification, such as: 
    • TAE80113 Graduate Diploma of Adult Language, Literacy and Numeracy Practice (and its equivalent TAE70111) OR
    • Bachelor of Education, Graduate Certificate or Graduate Diploma of Education, or higher. This may include qualifications relating to TESOL, adult education or vocational education.
