About the Role

We’re looking for dynamic, innovative, and proactive Migrant English Teachers to join our dedicated team across Swinburne campuses. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to engage and motivate students, bringing fresh, creative teaching methods and cutting-edge learning technologies into the classroom.

As part of our collaborative team, you’ll play a key role in delivering, assessing, and evaluating high-quality education programs. You’ll help shape the learning journey for students across certificate, diploma, and associate degree levels, all while ensuring compliance and tailoring courses to meet diverse learner needs.

About You  
To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities: 
  • Demonstrated excellence or capacity to implement high quality, innovative approaches in teaching and assessment, using a variety of learning modes, which respond to diverse student learning needs.
  • Demonstrated experience or the capacity to develop and conduct training programs directed to the needs of industry and the community.
  • Experience in teaching Adult Migrant English Programs (AMEP) and Skills for Education and Employment programs (SEE)
  • Demonstrated experience or the capacity to develop learning and assessment resources.
  • Demonstrated awareness and understanding of Vocational Education and Training policies and frameworks.


Qualifications
  • Post Grad qualification in TESOL or equivalent
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122)
OR
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) 
OR 
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40110) including the following units:
    • TAELLN411 Address adult language, literacy and numeracy skills or its successor, OR
    • AELLN401A Address adult language, literacy and numeracy skills, 
AND
    • TAEASS502 Design and develop assessment tools or its successor, OR
    • TAEASS502A Design and develop assessment tools, OR
    • TAEASS502B Design and develop assessment tools 
OR
  • Diploma or higher-level qualification in adult education
  • Relevant degree or vocational qualification in areas applicable to Migrant English programs including evidence of currency or related field
