About the Role
The AV Services Specialist reports to the Audio-Visual Manager in the Information Technology, Digital Workplace Experience department. The role has no supervisory responsibilities and will be required to work in a team environment with a clear commitment to customer service.
This is a 5 day a week on-campus role.
You will provide technical support across learning, meeting, and event spaces at the University and VE divisions. This position requires expertise in providing level 3 and 4 AV support, while also delivering specialist support for live, hybrid, and virtual events. Training and assistance for internal and external customers are key aspects of the role.
About You
To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:
Commitment to industry Certification (Preferred: AVIXA, Crestron & XiO, Dante, Biamp, Sennheiser, Extron, Polycom, Echo360)
Extensive knowledge of, and experience in fault-finding and maintenance of a broad range of audiovisual devices and AV infrastructure systems
Extensive experience in the management and support of live events and hybrid streaming events
Highly developed interpersonal skills, with excellent stakeholder relationship management skills with the ability to communicate effectively with people from technical, non-technical and management backgrounds
Demonstrable customer focus bias with a track record for delivering service improvements
A high degree of self-motivation and the ability to work independently, to prioritise own workflow, and to establish clear priorities from multiple demands.
Qualifications
A relevant technical degree with subsequent relevant experience; or experience in an AV technical field.
