About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Architectural Design Manager.
The Architectural Design Manager plays a pivotal role in guiding and advising on architectural matters to ensure the successful delivery of the University's built environment. This role involves establishing and implementing architectural design standards, promoting sustainable and innovative design practices, and benchmarking design directions to align with the University's strategic goals.
Additionally, this role supports the University's master planning and development strategies by integrating high-quality architectural and sustainability principles across both major and minor capital works. The incumbent collaborates closely with senior management, project teams, and external consultants to achieve design excellence in all infrastructure projects.
About You
To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:
Develop, update and be the owner of multiple design standards scopes in the built environment
Champion design standards and educate stakeholders, project teams, and consultants on their application.
Lead the development and review of policies, objectives, and strategies related to high-level architectural design matters, considering their impact on the Universitys physical environment.
Conduct architectural design reviews across major and minor works projects at key phases, ensuring compliance with university aspirations, standards and strategic direction.
Lead identified mid-sized projects through concept design to design development phases.
Ensure adherence to university policies and procedures, including equal opportunity, occupational health and safety, risk management, financial compliance, and privacy.

Qualifications
Postgraduate qualification in architecture or equivalent experience.
Registered Architect
