About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Business Analyst to join our ePMO team at Swinburne.
The Senior Business Analyst plays a pivotal role in driving change and enhancing business outcomes through innovative business analysis services. This role is essential for identifying business needs and delivering solutions that maximize organizational value. It demands deep expertise in business analysis, process improvement, and project management to ensure alignment between business objectives and technology solutions. The analyst is responsible for planning, managing, eliciting, and defining requirements from inception to implementation on various large-scale, complex projects across the University.
The Senior Business Analyst collaborates with project team members, including Project Managers, IT teams, business units, and external vendors, to support business case development, procurement processes, development, testing, UAT, operational readiness, change management, and post-implementation support. The role also involves leading process improvements to optimize business operations by analysing current processes and designing innovative future state processes. Furthermore, the analyst provides leadership and acts as a role model in enhancing Swinburnes Business Analysis capability by defining and embedding best practice processes, methods, and techniques within the Project Delivery Framework.
About You
To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:
Lead of large scale strategies to improve efficiency
Leading large scale and complex projects
Mentoring junior and mid-level business analysts at Swinburne
Development (or contribution to) and ongoing management of the Business Analysis plan and approach for all allocated work.
Understanding and analysis of business problems and the development and effective articulation of business solutions
Leading the development of fit for project BA standards, templates and procedures for business analysis in line with relevant BA industry standards
Contribute to the establishment of processes and procedures to ensure quality and consistency in business process designs and documents
Contribute to the documentation of business procedures, and assist in advancing the BA processes and procedures;
Work in partnership with stakeholders and colleagues to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

Qualifications
Post Graduate qualifications and demonstrated BA experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or training
Certification in Business Analysis ( i.e CBAP, CBATL)
