About the Role 
Swinburne is seeking a Research Integrity Officer to support the promotion of responsible research practices across the university. This role focuses on planning and delivering integrity-related projects within the Research Ethics, Integrity, Governance and Biosafety (REIGB) Office, while also contributing to our Ethics and Integrity Education Program.

Key responsibilities include supporting investigations into potential research integrity breaches, maintaining systems for tracking integrity matters, and developing tools and reports to support continuous improvement. The role requires strong analytical and interpersonal skills and works closely with the Research Integrity Coordinator and other key stakeholders across the university.

This is a pivotal role in strengthening Swinburne’s research integrity framework and fostering a culture of ethical and responsible research.

About You  
To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities: 
  • A postgraduate degree with a substantial research component and/ or additional training and qualifications in ethics or integrity
  • Demonstrated skill set in promotion and review of research integrity matters
  • Detailed knowledge of research integrity processes in a University or other research setting
  • Well-developed professional and interpersonal skills with an ability to deal with a wide variety of people, to identify needs and to impart knowledge in a professional manner

Qualifications
An undergraduate degree with extensive relevant experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education and training
