About the RoleÂ
The Manager, Student Success reports directly to the Deputy Director of Student Engagement and is responsible for the development, implementation, and evaluation of high-quality co-curricular and extra-curricular academic and learning support programs. These programs span University-wide student support initiatives, localized services targeting specific cohorts, and intensive outreach campaigns for high-needs and at-risk students.
This role leads and manages two distinct service teams: the Learning and Academic Skills (LAS) team and the Student Success Adviser (SSA) team. This includes contributing to the creation and implementation of strategies, plans, and policies designed to increase student retention, enhance student success, and improve the accessibility and effectiveness of both physical and online learning and support environments at Swinburne. The Manager may also be called upon to provide guidance on complex student matters and to produce regular reports demonstrating the impact of the services provided.
As a member of the Student Engagement leadership group, the Manager, Student Success must collaborate effectively with teams and leaders across the University to uphold Student EngagementÂ’s reputation for impact and effectiveness, maintaining recognition as a senior manager.
