About the job
Swinburne’s Vocational Education sector is growing and we are looking for a sessional teacher within our TAE Program.

The TAE Program
The TAE program includes the Certificate IV TAE and the dual Diploma of VET and TDD, as well as skill sets and teacher personal development. Delivery is both face to face and online.

Teaching in the TAE program requires:
• The technical skills to work with digital documents, create learning resources and design appealing LMS pages for student engagement;
• Knowledge of the Vocational sector, ASQA compliance requirements and experience in a range of classrooms and training environments;
• Social skills to engage with mature industry professionals in their own field, who are seeking quality training. The successful candidate will model professional attitudes in the classroom and in communications with students.

We are looking for a sessional teacher to inspire, engage and educate our students for the 21st century. You will implement industry best practice and apply current learning technologies and contemporary learning pedagogies.

You will work collaboratively within a team of education professionals. Within this team environment, they will plan deliver, assess, evaluate and ensure compliance of high quality education and training programs.

This role requires our teachers to be able to customise and adapt our programs to meet our learners and clients’ needs that vary from certificate level through to diploma and associate degree levels.

About you
It goes without saying, you will have:

-Diploma of VET or higher
-Knowledge and understanding of the tertiary and vocational education sector
-Demonstrated awareness and understanding of Vocational Education and Training policies and frameworks.
