About the job
An Executive Assistant is required to provide a wide range of professional, confidential support services to a Dean of School, with strong industry liaison being a primary part of the role.

This frontline, ambassadorial and interesting position will be responsible for all administrative service provision including but not limited to; diary management, travel coordination, internal and industry committee servicing and management of School and Alumni events.

The successful incumbent will be required to provide support within the School support team during busy periods, as well as have an understanding of policies and procedures to provide informed advice to stakeholders in the Faculty.

Skills and experience
To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate the following:

• A degree with subsequent relevant experience or extensive experience and broad knowledge in senior administrative fields.

• Extensive experience in a high level administrative support role, which requires coordination of a range of functions and provision of high quality executive and senior administration support services, including the ability to maintain confidentiality and show discretion.

• Excellent interpersonal written and verbal communication skills including the ability to provide advice and support required by staff, students and visitors to the University, experience in dealing with people from different cultural backgrounds and levels of seniority.

• Ability to be proactive and show initiative, to work independently and be an effective team member.

• Sound analytical skills and conceptual skills, with the ability to collect and interpret relevant information and find appropriate solutions to complex problems.
