About the Job

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Diversity Manager to drive and develop Swinburne’s diversity and inclusion agenda. This role will partner with the broader People and Culture team as well as key stakeholders across the University to embed Diversity and Inclusion into all people initiatives. You will also provide advice to a range of stakeholders on strategic and operational diversity, inclusion and workforce planning initiatives and activities.

Other key responsibilities will include:

  • Design and develop diversity and inclusion strategy and supporting initiatives in line with P&C strategy and overall business strategy
  • Coordinate diversity and inclusion programs, including set up of working groups and project teams
  • Partner with P&C to ensure diversity and inclusion initiatives and measures are in place across the University
  • Manage cross functional relationships to ensure consistency in program implementation, and network across brand and within industry to gain understanding of best practice
  • Develop and implement action plans across Gender Equality, Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander, People with Disability, People with linguistically diverse backgrounds, Mature age workers and Gender Balance in Leadership.

 

About You
To be suitable you will have a tertiary qualification in Human Resources or related discipline and demonstrated experience in designing, delivering and measuring diversity strategic initiatives. Also critical to this role is proven experience in coaching, challenging and educating business leaders in how they drive a diverse culture, ability to quickly build rapport, communicate and engage regularly with internal and external stakeholders along with a ‘can do’ attitude and customer first mentality.
