Newly created role to establish Swinburne’s Social Startup Studio. 3 year Fixed-term contract, Hawthorn location

About the job
Based in the Faculty of Business and Law, Swinburne’s Centre for Social Impact (CSI) is looking for an experienced profeissional to establish the Swinburne Social Startup Studio. The Startup Studio will deliver entrepreneurial training and development to early stage social enterprises, with a focus on the business model and business planning, together with opportunities to grow networks with other social entrepreneurs and the broader ecosystem.

Working with the the Principal Industry Fellow, Social Impact who will also act as Director of the Swinburne Social Startup Studio, in this newly created role, you will deliver the three objectives of the Startup Studio: social enterprise development support; knowledge creation and student engagement.

Your daily responsibilities will include the development and implementation of a program of business planning support, leveraging CSI Swinburne’s expertise and that of the boarder Faculty and University. You will also contribute to ensuring take-up of Studio learning and business development by supporting communications and development of strategic relationships to support the Studio’s work and impact.

About you
To be successful in the role, you will have:
• Undergraduate degree in management, entrepreneurship or a cognate area
• Knowledge of Victoria’s social enterprise ecosystem
• Demonstrated experience in social entrepreneurship processes and business planning for social impact, ideally in a social enterprise context
