Security Manager

About the job
We are looking for an experience Security professional to join our Facilities and Services Group. Reporting to the Associate Director, Corporate Services, you will manage the daily security operations across all Swinburne campuses. This will include managing specialised security team where significant innovation, initiative and judgement are required. Additionally, you will contribute your extensive security knowledge in managing our external security contractor as well as running risk assessments across the University . You will have delegated authority to act on behalf of the University in matters that relate to security and/or require police or emergency services response. This is a diverse role where you will be able to have a real impact on the safety of our students, flexing your leadership skills to bring out the best in the Security team.

About you
To be successful in the role, you will have:

• Demonstrated experience as a Security Manager, including possession of or progress to obtaining your Victorian Security Licence.

• Strong influencing skills, including a proven track record at leading teams

• Solid security operations management experience, including budget management and risk assessments
