We are currently seeking a Digital Communications Officer to work within our Communications & Client Recruitment team on a full time basis for a fixed term of 12 months.

About the role:

As the Digital Communications Officer you will be responsible for developing and curating written and visual content for all of BreastScreen Victoria’s digital channels (Facebook, Instagram and external website).

You will also be required to track the effectiveness of social media channels through regular monitoring and analysis to ensure it’s contributing to achieving the organisation’s goals.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Creating content for all BSV social media channels in line with our brand guidelines and policies
  • Monitoring online community forums
  • Ensuring the BreastScreen Victoria Website is up to date and optimised for effective links between social media and other relevant information
  • Supporting users of the BreastScreen Victoria intranet and editing intranet content as required
  • Coordinating and creating relevant content for digital advertising
  • Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of social media communications using tools such as Google analytics and Facebook business manager

About you:

To be successful in this role, you will have a minimum of two years’ experience working in social media specialising in community management and audience growth. You will also have:

  • Qualifications in communications or extensive experience in digital communications, journalism or public relations
  • A radar for knowing your target audience and developing content accordingly
  • Exceptional organisational skills while being flexible and proactive
  • A strong eye for detail
  • A can do attitude and a strong team ethic.
  • A strong interest in public health and making a difference to Victorians
