About The Role
Role Location: Melbourne CBD
Role Type: 10 to 12 month fixed-term contract
The Financial Crime Threat Management (FCTM) team is responsible for the detection and investigation of financial crime and the ongoing management of higher risk customers. This can include but is not limited to: detecting, investigating and reporting suspicious matters; conducting enhanced customer due diligence, assessing high risk customers and employing retention and exit strategies; managing Sanctions risks; and assurance and governance of FCTM processes and quality.
As a FCTM Investigation Manager, your duties will include although are not limited to: liaising with customers, branch and other frontline staff to gather critical and complex information and assessing the risk of retaining the customer or taking action to off-board; ensuring key information about the customer is appropriately held in agreed systems and formats for ongoing reviews; building and maintaining excellent knowledge of ANZ systems and the policies relating to high risk customers; displaying sound judgment in making assessments around customer risk ratings, balanced with ANZ’s risk appetite, AML & CTF policies and AML & CTF legislation; actively contributing to initiatives and projects to improve customer/banker experience, risk performance, team efficiency and continuous improvements; ability to work both autonomously and make impartial decisions, and work positively in a team environment; and performing Quality Control as part of this role once proficient.
About You
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to disseminate complex information in simple English
  • Strong problem solving, analytical and decision making ability – able to make sound decisions under pressure
  • Able to manage priorities and conflicting issues in a professional manner, be proactive and use initiative
  • Able to build strong, open and collaborative working relationships
  • Able to use initiative. Be proactive by taking action and being persistent in addressing issues
  • Frontline banking experience an advantage to understand how best to leverage these areas to support management of HRCs
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs; Involved with Projects initiatives and drive continuous improvement
