About the job
As our Travel Manager you will be responsible for the administration and continuous improvement of an agile, flexible travel management offering that caters for Swinburne’s needs. In this role you will be the subject matter expert for our travel services and will provide the necessary training and support on our travel systems and processes.
Reporting to the Director, Procurement you will be required to implement key change recommendations across the travel program that will deliver an improved planning, booking, cost management and travel experience for staff, students and guests of the University.
To be successful in this role you will be a people person, have strong communications skills, and be able to maintain positive relationships with key suppliers and external stakeholders of the University to ensure the effective management of supplier contracts. The ideal candidate will have previous experience within the travel industry and have a solid understanding of corporate travel programs, or held a similar role within the Higher Education sector.
