About the job
Reporting to the Director, Communications and Media, this is a strategic position responsible for developing innovative, engaging and purposeful multimedia content and communications for staff, students and external audiences.

In this role, you will be part of a dynamic and dedicated communications team responsible for the developing and implementing strategic communications and media plans to build and protect Swinburne’s reputation as one of Australia’s leading universities.

You will bring your special talents – be it in staff engagement or media - to identifying opportunities and developing plans to reach and influence staff, media and other audiences using the university’s primary content and communications channels.

Your ability to build strong collaborative relationships with colleagues from faculties and other business units will see you contribute to achieving our shared vision for Swinburne as a world-class university brining social and economic impact in science, technology and innovation.

About you
To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate the following:
• Tertiary qualification and substantial relevant experience in communications or a related field.
• Demonstrated excellence in developing and executing creative, results-driven communications strategies that support organisational goals and objectives.
• Demonstrated excellence in managing the production and distribution of innovative, engaging and purposeful multimedia content.
