About the job
As our Change & Capability Lead you will be responsible for developing a portfolio change management capability to support projects being delivered across Swinburne University of Technology. You will lead the centralised change team as it transitions from Information Technology to the People & Culture function with a focus on developing the change management capability of the broader organisation. You will be key in establishing a Change Management Centre of Expertise ensuring the development and adoption of a standardized and people focused change methodology and toolset.

The ideal candidate has previous experience leading a change practice, building organisational capabilities and managing large scale change activites. You will have exceptional communication skills and be able to negotiate the university landscape.

About you
To be successful in the role, you will have:
• A postgraduate degree level qualification in a relevant discipline with subsequent relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
• Extensive and broad change management experience across all areas of organisational change including large scale IT projects.
• Demonstrated experience or leading a change management practice, with an ability to understand the program of work and ensure projects are adequately resourced
• Highly developed interpersonal skills and influencing skills including the ability to develop effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders and staff from different levels within the organisation.
