About the job
Our Learning Transformations Unit is currently seeking a new manager to lead the techncology team. As our Manager, Learning Technologies and Innovations, you will manage Learning Innovations Projects at Swinburne. This involves responsibility for Learning Technology Innovations projects from initial scoping, business planning, project design & development and trial, to implementation. Additionally, you will manage the design, development and evaluation of learning analytics, and other e-learning technologies to enhance teaching quality, and support student learning across Swinburne, in pursuit of Swinburne 2025 goals. Using your well-tuned stakeholder skills, you will build and maintain business partner relationships with internal stakeholders, such as our academics and external stakeholders such as LMS providers, project managers and technical experts. You will lead and guide our team of Learning Technologists who assist the Learning Transformations Unit in designing and developing resources and training for university staff and students.

Swinburne’s Learning Transformation Unit (LTU) provides professional development and support for teaching staff across all modes of delivery. It focuses on the transformations needed in Swinburne’s learning technologies and teaching practices to meet student needs and contributes to the achievement of the University’s 2025 vision to become a leading university of science, technology and design.
About you
To be successful in the role, you will have:
• Relevant postgraduate qualification and extensive relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training in the areas of teaching, learning design and development and learning technologies
• Advanced knowledge of digital learning principles and practices, as well as current and future trends in digital learning technologies
• Demonstrated experience leading and managing people
• Strong experience managing implementation of Learning Management Systems (LMSs)
