About the job
Reporting to the Director, Student & Academic Services, the Manager, Safer Community is a best-practice leader in the campus threat management field. The manager supports the university community to prevent, recognise and respond to student behaviour of concern.

Safer Community is the central point of enquiry, reporting, assessment and coordination for problem behaviours, sexual harassment and assault, domestic and family violence and child safety related matters that affect students.

The manager leads a team of Safer Community Advisors and a Primary Prevention Coordinator whose key roles are the management of cases of problem behaviours, domestic family violence, sexual assault and child safety matters and related primary prevention activities.

Within this role, you will work closely with other areas of the university to provide advice, professional development, specialised assessment, and management of behavioural risks.

About you
To be successful in the role, you will have:
• Postgraduate qualification or extensive relevant experience and management expertise in areas of clinical psychology, forensic psychology, behavioural science, criminology, law, social work, case investigation, complex case management, mental health nursing or related disciplines.
• Formal qualifications, professional development, or experience in behavioural threat assessment and management
• Demonstrated experience in managing behavioural risks in a large and complex organisation.
