About the job
This position is to provide dedicated research support for an NHMRC project led by A/Prof Tanya Davison, entitled ‘A cluster RCT of a novel psychological intervention to reduce depression among at-risk older adults transitioning to residential aged care.’
The incumbent will be responsible for data management, data cleaning and analysis of data from the cluster RCT to determine the efficacy of the intervention, as well as for writing up the results of the analyses for publication.
This 7 month position will commence on 2 September 2019 and end on 31st March 2020. The position will be 0.4FTE, although there is some flexibility to fit with the selected candidate’s other commitments.
About you
To be successful in the role, you will have:
• Masters or Doctoral level qualification in Biostatistics or related field, such as epidemiology or applied statistics
• Experience in statistical analysis of clinical trial data (psychological, health or clinical), using SPSS or other statistical packages.
• Expertise in the field of aged mental health or clinical psychology, with knowledge of the residential aged care sector an advantage.
