About the job
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Research Fellow to join the Centre for Social Impact (CSI) Swinburne as we embark on a multi-year applied research program on community services innovation conducted within a strategic partnership between Uniting (Victoria & Tasmania) and Swinburne University of Technology. In this role you will support the Chair in Community Services Innovation and assume project leadership responsibilities in relation to research projects within the partnership as well as grant funded and commissioned research, and will undertake administrative and other activities associated with research.

Initial fields of focus include research into place-based impact and organisational enablers for this, as well as outcomes measurement frameworks and methods for capturing consumer (micro level) outcomes as well as community capacity or strengthening (meso level) outcomes. The role may also include mentoring of Uniting (Victoria & Tasmania) staff in relation to the design and conduct of research, evaluation and evidence utilisation.

About you
To be successful in the role, you will have:
• A doctoral qualification in management, policy studies, community development or an area directly relevant to innovation in community services
• Demonstrated experience in contributing to high quality research of national or international significance in an area relevant to community services innovation, including track record in academic publication
• Demonstrated skills in research design and qualitative data collection and analysis methods appropriate for use with marginalized groups.
