About the role

We are currently looking for a Licensed Conveyancer to work in our friendly Property team on a contract basis while one of our valued team members takes parental leave. Working closely with our conveyancing team and property partners and lawyers, you will be required to manage a high volume of conveyancing work. You will conduct property transactions specifically focusing on off the plan mixed-use developments and other residential and commercial conveyancing matters, undertake relevant searches, draft correspondence to various parties on a daily basis and settle matters using the PEXA platform, with minimal supervision. The role offers you an opportunity to engage with clients directly and the ability to run your files from start to finish. In this role you will also be responsible for database management using our specialist in-house platform, Eportfolio and also PEXA Projects, including entry and update of information, opening and maintaining new matter files/matters and  document processing as required.

About you

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate: 

  • Experience in managing commercial and residential conveyancing matters including large scale off-the-plan projects for developers;
  • Ability to manage a large volume practice including dealing directly with external and internal clients;
  • Experience using PEXA, PEXA Projects and other property transaction management systems;
  • Managing high pressure periods of large work volumes and effectively managing time during strict time frames and the ability to prioritise activities according to level of urgency;
  • A high level of attention to detail;
  • The ability to consistently produce accurate, high quality work;
  • Proactivity and initiative; and
  • The ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
