About The Role

Role Location: 347 Kent Street, Sydney NSW 2000

Role Type: Permanent & Full-time


As the Operations Team Leader, you will form part of the Adviser Service and Operations Leadership team within Pension & Investments. In this role, you will be responsible for managing a high volume team consisting of 8 staff members and will be responsible for the end-to-end management of all premium adviser tasks including enquiries, reports, phone calls, and other workflow items including escalations.

Your key accountabilities will include: 
  • Ensuring that team tasks are completed within agreed Service Levels and ensuring that stakeholder expectations are met whilst leading by example
  • Monitoring & implementing service improvement initiatives to improve profitability and reduce complexity
  • Undertaking necessary analyses (market, financial, risk, general) as directed to support decision making
  • Managing and governing processes relating to both onshore and offshore stakeholders
  • Managing day to day work allocations, producing daily performance reporting, resolving and proactively managing issues with systems, processes and people
  • Managing stakeholders and working collaboratively with business unit and functional support stakeholders
  • Ensuring that ANZ Values are maintained and that all legislation and product rules are adhered to 
About you

To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following: 

  • Experience from the Wealth & Financial Planning industries
  • Solid understanding of the Wealth & Financial planning market environments, business strategies, and key drivers of success
  • Proven ability & experience in managing a fast-paced team with multiple priorities
  • Strong people leadership skills and demonstrated ability to create a high performance team
  • Proven track record in managing business, process, and team improvement opportunities
  • Strong interpersonal, influencing, and negotiating skills
  • Strong networking, collaboration, and communication skills
