About the job
The Communications & Project Officer responsible for the coordination of communication materials and projects aimed at establishing, maintaining and strengthening the University’s Work Integrated Learning placement offerings for Swinburne students. In this role you will be driving exposure and brand recognition by liaising with stakeholders to assist in the development and distribution of communication materials, provide support for strategic Professional Placement events, and coordinate existing business as usual marketing activities. You will work closely with Swinburne’s internal marketing team to plan and execute communication strategies that will drive engagement for the Professional Placements team and link towards Swinburne’s 2025 strategy.

About the department
The Professional Placements team, in partnership with academics, students and industry, are responsible for the delivery of high quality industry placement programs for students. The team aims to facilitate a broad array of high quality placement opportunities for Swinburne’s students, to enhance Swinburne’s reputation for employability and to position placements as a decisive factor when prospective students choose their tertiary destination.
