About the Job

Reporting to the Vice-President of Students, the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) is responsible for the Swinburne University of Technology brand in all markets and across all associated entities.

In this key leadership position, you will build and implement strategies to achieve Swinburne’s desired brand position and generate increased student enrolments and enhanced research and industry partnerships.

You will lead Swinburne’s innovative digital transformation including; implementing the new personalised digital customer experience via the Adobe Experience Cloud platform, embedding the new operating model and championing new ways of working with leadership teams.

In this diverse and challenging role, you will also oversee sales channels that involve management and oversight of all programs to generate awareness, leads, pre-sale engagement and conversion activities that result in the enrolment of new students across the Swinburne portfolio.

About you

To be successful in the role, you will have:

• Postgraduate qualifications in Marketing or progress towards Marketing postgraduate qualifications and extensive relevant experience; or extensive experience and management expertise; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/ or education/ training
• Have led organizational-wide digital transformation, with the implementation and adoption of an enterprise-wide technology platform (such as Adobe Experience Cloud, or similar) along with a new operating model
• Demonstrated senior marketing management and leadership skills and achievements
• Proven strategic planning skills, with an ability to conceptualize issues, understand influencing factors in service environments, develop creative solutions and plan implementation processes that deliver against set objectives
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex financial, human, physical and technology resources to achieve strategic and operational goals
