The University has services and programs intended to address the educational and employment issues that Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people often face - due to discrimination and the impact of past government policies and practices - resulting in inadequate educational and employment outcomes. Your Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander heritage is something that is personal; however, proof of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander heritage is asked of applicants, when applying for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander specific services and programs, to help ensure this intention is honoured.
