About the role and college / portfolio
The Education Portfolio is headed by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Education and Vice President who leads the planning and implementation of the Universitys strategies related to RMITs academic programs and the RMIT student experience. The Portfolio is responsible for services to support the quality of RMIT programs, including the professional development of academic staff, continuous improvement of the student experience, learning and teaching outcomes and the management of learning and research information sources.
The Education Portfolio plays a key role in empowering students to access education, participate actively in the life of the University and achieve successful and fulfilling lives beyond graduation. The provision of a stimulating and satisfying experience for students is a priority for the University.
The Academic Registrar's Group (ARG) is responsible for the administrative, policy and governance activities of the University which relate to the student lifecycle. The ARG operating environment is highly complex; the University has more than 91,000 students enrolled in both vocational and higher education programs, at campuses in Melbourne, Europe and Vietnam, and at several offshore locations in conjunction with educational and industry partners.
As the Advisor, Citizenship and Identity, you will provide high level service and subject matter advice around the key business processes and legislation. You will ensure the effective delivery of student enrolment functions and the resolutions for various complex issues.
The successful candidate will provide leadership, support and direction to other members of the team, work collaboratively and oversee workflow of other team members, exercise professional judgement to ensure that policies, procedures and legislation is adhered to. You will be resilient, demonstrate attention to detail, an ability to evolve with constant change and be able to think on your feet, so tell us why you would be the best fit for the position.
