About the Job
Swinburne VCE Connect are looking for a casual VCE English/EAL (Year 12) teacher to join our team at Swinburne Croydon and Wantirna Campus commencing 15 January 2020. We are looking for a fresh and dynamic VCE English/EAL teacher who is proactive with curriculum initiatives, a passionate educator, keen to work in a team and be at the forefront of innovative student engagement and experiences.
As a Swinburne VCE Connect English/EAL teacher, you will inspire, engage and educate future ready learners for the world of work in the 21st century. You will implement subject and industry best practice and apply current learning
technologies and contemporary learning pedagogies. You will work collaboratively within a team of education professionals. Within this team environment, you will plan deliver, assess, evaluate and ensure delivery of innovative, STEAM and Vocational focused, high quality education programs. This role requires our teachers to be able to customise and adapt VCE programs to meet our learners and clients’ needs.

We have an immediate vacancy for a teacher to deliver and assess in the following Victorian Certificate of Education subject areas.

• English Units 3/4
• English as an Additional Language Units 3/4

Applicants with demonstrated teaching practice across multiple subject areas highly desired.

About you
To be successful in the role, you will have:
• Provisional or full registration with the Victorian Institute of Teachers
• AQF5 level (or above) qualification in Secondary Education
• Relevant degree in areas applicable to VCE English/EAL including evidence of professional currency.
• Demonstrated up to date knowledge in the delivery of VCE English/EAL
