About the Job
The Science, Engineering & Technology Department is seeking to appoint suitably qualified and experienced sessional teacher(s). Teaching will be from units from our Diploma of Engineering (Unilink). This is a Higher Education Diploma delivered at our Hawthorn campus.

The units are:

  • Engineering Design and Innovation
  • Digital and Data Systems (from June 2020)
  • Energy and Motion
  • Mechanics of Structures (from June 2020)
  • Material Science
  • Calculus and Applications
  • Electronic Systems (from June 2020)
  • Linear Algebra and Applications (from June 2020)


The requirement will be to predominantly carry out teaching and assessment duties. As a guide successful applicant(s) are generally offered between 4 – 14 hours per week, and will be commencing in early February 2020 in four of the units listed above

About you
To be successful in the role, you will have:

  • Relevant qualifications, preferably Ph.D. in relevant field
  • A teaching qualification relevant for a tertiary education environment.
  • Sound computer skills to email, access databases, MS Office, and Canvas or other related LMS.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and a strong commitment to excellence in teaching, student mentoring and student experience
