PhD in Health and Cognitive Ageing

About the Scholarship
This exciting PhD Scholarship is within the budding area of nutritional and exercise cognitive neuroscience, with a key focus on work on the use of dietary change and exercise to reduce the rate of cognitive ageing and dementia risk.

As part of a multi-faceted collaboration between several major universities and funded by the NHMRC, the PhD project has outcomes including oxidation markers, inflammation, vascular function, cognition, wellbeing, dietary status, physical activity and fitness, microbiome and behaviour change.

You will conduct research and collect, analyse and report on data, ensuring appropriate quality control and maintenance measures are in place for the clinical trial and associated datasets.

About you
To be successful in the role, you will have:

• A Bachelor degree Honours and/or a research master’s degree in a discipline relevant to the research topic (or equivalent)
• International English Language Testing System (IELTS) examination certificate with a minimum overall score of 6.5 with no individual band score below 6.0
• A background in neuroscience, psychophysiology or a related field
