About the College/Portfolio

The Education Portfolio is headed by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Education and Vice President who leads the planning and implementation of the University’s strategies related to RMIT’s academic programs and the RMIT student experience. The Portfolio is responsible for services to support the quality of RMIT programs, including the professional development of academic staff, continuous improvement of the student experience, learning and teaching outcomes and the management of learning and research information sources.

As a Project Officer, you will be responsible for coordinating and delivering projects on behalf of the Portfolio. You will work collaboratively and pro-actively with partners to achieve strategically aligned and sustainable outcomes and be tasked with providing high level, responsive project services and support across the full range of functions throughout the project lifecycle with a focus on project initiation and benefits realisation.

This role will see you support and coordinate project artefacts and reports ensuring best practice governance is adhered to, and provide advice to the project community when required. 

About you 

  • Demonstrated project coordination skills and experience, especially data entry and record management
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with staff at various levels
  • Well-developed organisational, planning and time management skills to function in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven ability to analyse and interpret a wide-range of information from different sources
  • Ability to plan and prioritise work, to work under pressure, and to complete work with a high level of accuracy

Qualifications 

  • A relevant tertiary qualification and/or extensive relevant experience
