Our people make everything at the university possible. We encourage new approaches to work and learning, stimulating change to drive positive impact. RMIT exists to create transformative experiences for our students, getting them ready for life and work.

You will be a part of a productive and collaborative team who value working relationships and outcomes through open and inclusive planning, continuous information sharing and transparent work practices.

About The Role

Introduction to Programming is an undergraduate Bachelor’s level course that teaches problem solving using computers across a range of disciplines. This course introduces basic concepts, syntax and control structures in programming.

You will help students in demonstrating knowledge of coding conventions, devising and testing programs, identifying solutions to simple computing problems, and using basic functions of operating systems (Windows, Mac OS X, Linux, and UNIX).

You will further assist students in other aspects of their projects, including critical thinking, problem-solving development methods, team work and effective communication.

Our Online Tutors deliver pre-planned academic content using the Canvas Learning Management System. An Online Tutor is not expected to create or add content to a course. As an Online Tutor, your role will include three functions: the delivery of pre-planned academic content; facilitating learning activities and assessments tasks, which will include webinars, online discussion boards and assessments/feedback and the moderation, marking, processing, and submitting of assessment results.

Please see the attached Course guide for further information surrounding course content: http://www1.rmit.edu.au/courses/COSC15191950
