About The Role
Software Engineering Fundamentals is an undergraduate Bachelors level course that introduces the skills necessary to analyse, design and implement software engineering projects. You will be comfortable in providing students with an understanding of current software engineering standards and processes as well as implementing top-down and bottom-up approaches to software design and the underlying technology involved.
You will further assist students in other aspects of their learning, including critical analysis, problem-solving development methods, team processes, responsibility and effective communication.
Our Online Tutors deliver pre-planned academic content using the Canvas Learning Management System. An Online Tutor is not expected to create or add content to a course. As an Online Tutor your role will include three functions: the delivery of pre-planned academic content; facilitating learning activities and assessments tasks, which will include webinars, online discussion boards and assessments/feedback and the moderation, marking, processing, and submitting of assessment results.

Youll strive to provide the best student experience possible are capable in using the latest digital tools and technologies to deliver innovative course material in an exciting manner.
You must be willing to engage with RMIT Online facilitation strategies and be willing;
Qualifications
Online Tutors delivering a Bachelors level course must have a Masters degree in a suitable content area for the course. Qualifications should be accompanied by relevant industry experience.
Teaching experience in higher education context, especially online, is highly desirable and candidates who have 3+ years of work experience are highly valued. If youre able to provide examples of previous Good Teaching Scores (or equivalent) this will be further beneficial.
Note: Appointment to this position is subject to passing a Working with Children check.
