About the College and team
The College of Science, Engineering and Health comprises four Schools delivering a broad range of programs in science, engineering, health and technology at apprenticeship, certificate, bachelor, masters and PhD levels. Many programs articulate between vocational and higher education, creating pathways for further study. There is a vibrant research community attracting funding from a range of government and industry sources. The College has an annual income of over $500 million and employs over 1,000 staff providing on and offshore programs to over 25,000 students.
RMIT University is an Athena SWAN member and the College of Science, Engineering and Health is central to driving improvements in gender equality, diversity and inclusion, particularly in the Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics and Medicine (STEMM) disciplines.
The Governance team works in partnership with the Schools and Academic Development Group to ensure smooth transition and communication of new and amended policies, approval flow for curriculum development proposals and the effective management of internal and external review processes.
About you
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Planning and Operations, you will be responsible for leading a small team to coordinate the development and implementation of internal policies, support quality processes, manage student appeals, and provide high level secretariat services to the College's principal committees. You will work closely with other functional areas such as Academic Services, Admissions, and Program Development.
You will also lead cultural and work practice changes required to support the Colleges strategic directions, whilst managing an administrative team and resources.
As the successful candidate, you will be a policy and governance practitioner with a strong focus on customer/stakeholder management.
