About the Job
Swinburne’s Department of Aviation is seeking Sessional Teaching academics to contribute to the Aviation discipline areas both on campus and online. Working as a sessional academic, you will prepare and deliver lectures, tutorials and practical sessions, and assess students. You will also mentor students on academic matters and elevate the student learning experience through delivering cutting-edge, best practice education.

As a sessional academic, you may teach into undergraduate and/or postgraduate programs. This position will provide internationalisation opportunities in curriculum/pedagogy development and work to facilitate professional learning for Aviation students.

About you
  • To be successful in the role, you will have:
  • Postgraduate (preferably doctorate) degree within a relevant field
  • Extensive industry experience
  • Demonstrated experience in tertiary teaching in a relevant discipline
  • Strong commitment to leading edge/best practice education
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
